Kolahalam (The Commotion) Malayalam comedy-family drama movie is directed by Rasheed Parambil, after Bhagavan Dasante Ramarajyam. The film Kolahalam features Santhosh Puthan, Kumar Sunil, Achuthanandan, Swathy Mohanan, Chitra Prasad, Priya Sreejith, Anusha Aravindakshan, Rajesh Nair, Sathyan Chavara, Vishnu Balakrishnan, Vishal Viswanathan, Sharan Panicker, Sathyan Prabhapuram, Afsal K Aziz, Dilsha, Aarathi Muralidharan, Devi Krishna, Jayaram Ramu, Sreelakshmi S, Ali Marvel, and Girish Ongallour which is set against a family backdrop. The movie Kolahalam was produced by Santosh Puthan, Rajesh Nair, Sudhi Payyappat, and Jack Chembakk under the banners of Fine Films and Puthan Films. The story, screenplay, and dialogues for the film were written by newcomer Vishal Viswanathan.

The cinematographer of the film Kolahalam was Shihab Ongallur. Vishal Viswanathan is the chief associate director.

Director Lal Jose is presenting ' Kolahalam ' for the first time. The first look poster was released on 16 March 2025. The poster was released by directors Lal Jose and Lijo Jose Pellissery, along with popular stars Asif Ali, Tovino Thomas, Manju Warrier, and Nikhila Vimal.

The music for the film Kolahalam is composed by Vishnu Sivasankar, and the lyrics are by Ganesh Malayath and Fathahu Rahman.

Kolahalam movie will be released in theaters in April 2025, the makers announced.

Synopsis

In the sixteen hours between an elderly man's death and his funeral, a touching tale takes place in a tiny house. An unanticipated thief bursts in as the old man's life is coming to an end, setting off a series of events.

The thief's unintentional misstep startles the home among his panicked activities, much to his dismay. He hides out of fear of being found, which creates the backdrop for a succession of humorous incidents.
