Detective Ujjwalan Malayalam comedy investigation thriller movie is written and directed by the debut duo Indraneel Gopeekrishnan and Rahul G. The film Detective Ujjwalan features Dhyan Sreenivasan as the titular character alongside Siju Wilson as CI Shambhu Mahadev. The movie Detective Ujjwalan is produced by Sophia Paul under the banner of Weekend Blockbusters. Kottayam Nazeer, Seema G Nair, Ronnie David, Ameen, Nihal Nizam, Nibraz Noushad, Shahubas, Kalabhavan Navas, Nirmal Palazhi and Josey Sijo bring the hilarious hijinks of Detective Ujjwalan to the big screen.

Ratheesh Michael is the chief associate director of Detective Ujjwalan and Linsey Varghese is the content head. Dhyan Sreenivasan plays a local detective in the movie, which has editing by Chaman Chakko and music created by Rameez RC. Sedin Paul and Kevin Paul are the project designers and Manuel Cruz Darwin is the executive producer.

"Detective Ujjwalan" starring Dhyan Sreenivasan and was produced by Sophia Paul under the Weekend Blockbusters banner, has started production. The film's production got underway with pooja ceremonies on 17 November 2024. Detective Ujjwalan is the second movie to be included in the Weekend Cinematic Universe, which began with Basil Joseph's Minnal Murali, starring Tovino Thomas.
