India's first screening of "All We Imagine As Light," which created history at the Cannes Film Festival will take place in theaters

The drama, which is set in Mumbai, centers on two roommates and nurses who decide to travel to a seaside town in search of a place where their fantasies can come true. Over the past five years, Payal Kapadia has traveled with the Indian producers all based in Mumbai to bring the film to life.
All We Imagine As Light movie had a global premiere at the 77th Cannes Film Festival and was presented by Petit Chaos. Out of the four female-directed movies in the class, this is the first Indian film to compete since 1994. The movie made history by being the first Indian film to win the Grand Prix. It is the first Indian film to be included in the main competition of the Festival de Cannes in the past 30 years. In addition, Payal Kapadia is the first female Indian filmmaker to be chosen for this contest. "All We Imagine As Light" is one of 22 movies competing for the Palme d'Or prize, along with well-known directors like Andrea Arnold, Francis Ford Coppola, Jia Zhangke, Paolo Sorrentino, Sean Baker, and Ali Abbasi.
Following its Cannes Festival premiere, the movie has been chosen to play at several international film festivals, including the Telluride Film Festival, the TIFF - Toronto International Film Festival, the New York Film Festival, and the San Sebastian Film Festival. The movie is one of the favorites among Oscar pundits to receive an Academy Award nomination for Best Foreign Picture.

She went on to say that she is thrilled the film would be screened across India. Spirit Media's owner Rana Daggubati expresses his pride in introducing this amazing movie to Indian viewers, beginning with Kerala. He continues by saying that the movie offers a pan-Indian experience, with multilingual characters from various regions of the nation.
Synopsis
