Kurinji is a Malayalam movie directed by Gireesh Kunnummal. The film features Avani Avooos, Prakash Vadikkal, Dr. Shibu Jayaraj, Prakash Chengal, Shyam Kozhikode, Ashwin Vasudev, O Mohan, KK Chandran Pulpally, Eldho, Lovejesh, Suresh, Manoj, Rachana Ravi, Kullayamma, Vineeta D Amal, Lekha Nair Changanassery, Lizzy Wayanad, Rakhi Anuprasad, child actors Malavika Jitesh and Samajna Ranjith are the actors of "Kurinji". The movie Kurinji is produced by SR Nair Ambalapuzha under the banner of Sri Mookambika Communications. The story, screenplay, and dialogues for the film are written by Prakash Vadikkal.

The assistant directors are Suresh, Anish Bhaskar, and Rachna Ravi. SR Nair Ambalapuzha is the executive producer. The project designer of the film is Seven Arts K Mohanan. The film Kurinji was shot in Wayanad, Sultan Bathery, Ambalavayal, and Cheeral. In this film, which takes place against the backdrop of a Paniya colony, the majority of the characters are members of the tribal group. Their means of subsistence were farming and sculpting roots. Anishitavasu, a Gotra singer, performs in this both as a character and a performer.

The movie Kurinji chronicles the events in the lives of Maathan, his companion Vellan, their family, and various unrelated groups who labor in agriculture and make root sculptures in the Paniya colony. Another oddity of this film is that the majority of the characters are members of the tribal community. Anishita Vasu, a tribal singer, is both the singer and the character in this.

The music for the film 'Kurinji' was composed by Dr. Kanhangad Ramachandran from the lyrics of Pramod Kappad and the songs are sung by Devanandha Girish, Anshita Vasu, and Dr. Shibu Jayaraj.

Kurinji movie hit the screens by Sree Mookambika Release on February 2, 2024. Initially, the film was planned to be released in January 2024 but was postponed.
