Shamzu Zayba began filming the Abhilasham movie beginning on 17^th October 2023 at Mukkam in Kozhikode. The shooting started in a historic ancestral home in the nearby town of Mukkam's Areekulangara. At a fair ceremony that was attended by the crew members and relatives, producers Shankar Das and Ann Sariga Antony lit the first Bhadradeepam to begin the celebration. The first clap was given by Ashok Nelson and Binoy Paul and the filming then began with a switch-on ceremony by the renowned filmmaker Arun Gopy. The shooting of the film Abhilasham will be completed in Mukkam, Areekode, Kozhikode, Kottakkal, and Malappuram.

The music for the film 'Abhilasham' is composed by Sreehari K Nair from the lyrics by Sharafu and Suhail Koya. The audience has already taken notice of every song in this. "A love story with the scent of the sweet love of waiting" is the tagline for the movie.

Synopsis

The protagonist of Abhilasham is a man from Kottakkal named Abhilash Kumar, who runs a courier service and an Attar (perfume) shop. He has fallen in love with Sherin, a friend from his youth who has returned to her home after a lengthy absence and is now a single mother. The perfume of Sherin Moosa, the woman he never had the guts to tell before she moved on, is what Abhilash associated with love. Abhilash is very hopeful about Sherin's homecoming, but he is also bothered by his constant hesitancy to express his emotions. Here, we witness Abhilash's attempts to communicate his emotions to Sherin. The touching story of love, longing, and enduring memories is told in Abhilasham.

Her soul is still intertwined with his recollections, even after all these years have passed.
