Matka movie's story, screenplay, and dialogues, directed by 'Palasa 1978' fame director Karuna Kumar. The film Matka stars Mega Prince Varun Tej in the lead role and Naveen Chandra and Kannada Kishore in other roles. Bollywood actress and dancer Nora Fatehi play one of the female leads in 'Matka'. Meenakshi Chaudhary is another heroine of the film. The Pan Indian film is being produced by Dr. Vijender Reddy Teegala and Rajani Talluri under the banner of Vyra Entertainments and SRT Entertainments. The film also stars Naveen Chandra, Salloni, Ajay Ghosh, Ravindra Vijay, and P Ravi Shankar.

The cinematography is handled by Priya Seth and Karthika Srinivas is the editor. The film tells the story that takes place between 1958-1982. A huge vintage set depicting Vizag in the sixties is being prepared for the film. Production designer Ashish Teja has done the art direction.

The teaser depicts the protagonist's change when he is incarcerated, spurred by a jailer's remarks. To save the lives of the 10% who struggle to survive, Vasu chooses to join the 1% elite, who hold 90% of the wealth. Driven by his unquenchable thirst for wealth, he sets out to thrive in a harsh world with great ambition and a clear grasp of human avarice. Varun Tej pushes beyond his comfort zone to play a tough character in the movie, with four distinct makeovers representing the character's journey from adolescence to old age. In this film, Varun Tej will play four different roles that each represent a different stage of the hero's 24-year journey. It's amazing how well he can adjust his body language and verbal delivery to fit each character's unique situation. Two heroines Meenakshi Chaudhary and Nora Fatehi are also featured in the teaser.

The second look poster for Matka, the highest-grossing Telugu movie starring Varun Tej, is now available. The latter part of the film, which is being directed and written by Karuna Kumar, is now being shot. In the second look poster, Varun Tej appears fashionable, sporting a throwback outfit and a cigarette on his lips. In this film, Varun Tej will play four different roles that each represent a different stage of the hero's 24-year journey.

The launch ceremony of Matka which was previously known as VT14 was held recently.

In the movie, Nora Fatehi has a very important role. Before the shoot, the actor is now in Hyderabad, getting ready for her challenging role. Nora took part in the workshop after the look test that was done for the movie.

The music of Matka is by GV Prakash Kumar, one of the busiest music composers in South India. Jani, Sathish Krishnan, Vijay Polaki, and Vijay Binni are the dance choreographers.

Matka movie is Varun Tej's first Pan India film released in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi languages. The film Matka released on November 14, 2024.
