Premalu is a Malayalam romantic comedy movie directed by Girish AD after the superhit films 'Thanneer Mathan Dinangal' and 'Super Sharanya'. The film stars Naslen K Gafoor and Mamitha Baiju, who are notable young stars in Malayalam in lead roles set in the backdrop of Hyderabad. The movie Premalu is produced by Fahadh Faasil, Dileesh Pothan, and Syam Pushkaran under the banner of Bhavana Studios. The script for the film is written by the director and Kiran Josey. Other actors include Shyam Mohan, Akhila Bhargavan, Sangeeth Prathap, Althaf Salim, and Meenakshi Raveendran.

The cinematography for the film is handled by Ajmal Sabu and editing is done by Akash Joseph Varghese. The chief associate director is Rohith Chandrashekhar. Unnimaya Prasad is the co-producer and the executive producers are Benny Kattappana and Jos Vijay.

The fifth production from Bhavana Studios began filming at Thiruvananthapuram. The crew claims the movie would be shot in four locations - Trivandrum, Hyderabad, Cochin, and Pollachi- over three schedules. On 9^th July 2023 at the Thiruvananthapuram location where the film was shot, a pooja was performed and the movie was turned on.

In 2019, Dileesh Pothan, Fahadh Faasil, and Syam Pushkaran founded Bhavana Studios. This film is the fifth film to be released under the production of Bhavana Studios. Young people and family audiences greatly embraced the movies Thanneer Mathan Dinangal and Super Sharanya. Movie fans have great expectations when Bhavana Studios collaborates with the director Girish AD. Furthermore, it is noteworthy that this is the first rom-com produced by Bhavana Studios.

The music of Vishnu Vijay is one of the film's key charms with the lyrics by Suhail Koya. Premalu movie was distributed in theaters by Bhavana Release on February 9, 2024. The UK and Europe distribution rights for Premalu secured by YRF - Yash Raj Films. The Superhit Malayalam movie Premalu is streaming on Disney Plus Hotstar from 12 April 2024 in Malayalam, Tamil, and Hindi.

Synopsis

The protagonist of the film is Sachin, an insecure introvert who recently graduated from Salem without a clear career plan. Though there isn't enough money to fund his dream, he has an idea to visit the UK. In the movie, viewers follow Sachin's decision to go to Hyderabad with his friend Amal and how he undergoes a lot of personal transformation upon meeting Reenu, an IT specialist.
