Mukalpparappu is a Malayalam movie set in the backdrop of Theyyam of Malabar, directed by Siby Padiyara. Features Sunil Surya after 'Thinkalazhcha Nishchayam' and Aparna Janardanan in Mukalpparappu as the lead characters along with leading stars, and many newcomers are lining up. The movie Mukalpparappu is produced by Jayaprakasan KK under the banner of Jyothi's Vision. The screenplay for the film is written by Siby Padiyara and JP Thavarool is the co-writer. Sivadas Mattannur, Unni Raj Cheruvathur, Urmila Unni, Chandra Dasan Lokadharmi, Majeed, Bindu Krishna, Rajitha Madhu, and many other Theyyam artists are also performing.

The cinematography of the film is handled by Shiji Jayadevan and Nithin K Raj. The chief associate director is Sreekumar Vallamkulam. Jones Panackal, Sinu K Gopalakrishnan Seethathodu, Biju Modiyil Kumpalampoika, and Manoj CP are the executive producers and Shamal Swamidas, Haridas Pacheni, Adithya PO, Adwaith PO, and Leju Nair Nariyapuram are the line-producers of 'Mutupparappi'.

The film "Mukalpparappu" deals with environmental issues in the Kannur setting, through the inner conflicts of Chathootti Peruvannan, a renowned Theyyam artist in a village that constantly reverberates with the vibrations of rock mining.

Mukalpparappu is also the last film of the late famous actor Mamukkoya which emphasizes music, love, and humor.

The first look poster of the movie 'Mukalpparappu' - a tale of nature, love, and Theyyam set at the backdrop of Malabar is unfurled on 4^th July 2023. Along with Lal Jose and Vineeth Sreenivasan around fifty celebrities have released the poster through their Facebook pages. Famous young actor Dhyan Sreenivasan released the teaser of the movie 'Muppaparap' on 1^st August 2023 starring Sunil Surya in the lead role through his official page. The "Mukalpparappu" movie's second-look poster has been made public on 16^th July 2023. In a formal event, the launch took place at Thiruvananthapuram Vyloppilli Samskrithi Bhavan. Rajeev Alungal, a well-known lyricist, was the main guest on stage. In addition to Jhanvi Muraleedharan, Nihara Lakshmi, Diya Seenu Krishna, and director Siby Padiyara, other attendees included executive producer Sinu K Gopalakrishnan Seethathode of the movie Mukalpparappu and finance manager Tim P Gangadharan Malapattam. The event was attended by a large number of young performers and their parents from the Key Frames Talent Show, as well as Key Frames International Coordinator Ajith Vaikom, Secretary Limija Binduraj, Vidyasagar, and anchor Babitha Basheer.

The music for the film "Mukalpparappu" is composed by Pramod Sarang and, Joji Thomas with the lyrics by JP Thavarool and, Siby Padiyara.

Mukalparappu movie was released in theaters on September 08^th of 2023.
