Kurukku is a Malayalam investigative suspense thriller movie written and directed by debutant Abhijith Noorani (Abhijith M Nair). The film Kurukku features Anil Anto and Amitha Mithun in Kurukku as the lead characters. The movie Kurukku is produced by Shaji Punalal under the banner of Nisha Productions. The key parts in this movie are also shared by Balaji Sarma, Meera Nair, Preetha Pradeep, Sreejith Sreekantan, Sabari Chandran, Ajayaghosh, Kollam Thulasi, Mahesh, Yamuna, Bindu KS, Rajkumar, Darshana, Srikanth, Subin Tarzan, Anish, and Sandeep Sachu.

The co-writer and the creative contributor is Jimshar. the chief associate director of Kurukku is Suhas Ashokan and the associate director is Anoop Krishna. The executive producer of Kurukku is Kurian Joseph.

The narrative follows an investigative team under the command of Kazhakoottam CI Sajan Philip as they look into the Rubin-Sneha murder case, which occurred one night in the capital city and caused confusion for the Kerala police, sensational media coverage, and a crisis in the administration.

On 22 June 2024 Thiruvananthapuram hosted the trailer and song release for the investigative suspense thriller 'Kurukku. which is written and directed by newcomer Abhijith Noorani and produced by Shaji Punalal under the Nisha Films banner. Attendees included vocalists Ishaan Dev and Arvind Venugopal, as well as well-known Malayalam directors Rajasenan and Vinu Kiriyath. Through his social media pages, Prithviraj Sukumaran published the movie's trailer.

In this crime investigation thriller movie, CI Sajan Philip is portrayed by Anil Anto, who has previously starred in films like Second Show, Immanuel, RJ Madonna, Naalam Mura, Ntikkakkakkoru Premondarnn, Pappa, and the lead role in the upcoming movie Others. He is a well-known actor who has acted in pivotal roles in the films Aaraam Thirukalpana and Mrudhu Bhave Dhruda Kruthye by Shajoon Kariyal.

The investigation into the Rubin-Sneha murder case, which happened on a night in the capital city that sent the Kerala Police into a frenzy, sensationalized the media and plunged the state into crisis, has been concluded by a team of investigators led by Investigating Officer Kazhakkoottam CI Sajan Philip.

Kurukku, an investigative suspense thriller, was shot over 25 days in several places at Thiruvananthapuram. The "Kurukku" crime investigation suspense thriller has finished filming.

The lyrics for the songs are penned by Rajesh Neendakara, Shani Bhuvan, and Sreevasanth, and the music is composed by US Deeksh and Suresh Perinad. The singers are Jassie Gift, Arvind Venugopal, and US Deeksh. The dance choreographer of the movie Kurukku is Pappu Vishnu.

Kurukku movie released in theaters by Nisha Productions on July 5, 2024. The Malayalam film Kurukk is streaming on Amazon Prime Video from 15 November 2024.

Synopsis

A number of gruesome deaths involving couples that have raised worry in the city are being investigated by Circle Inspector Sajan Philip. Untrustworthy witnesses and dubious evidence complicate the case, raising short-term suspicions about Philip. "Kurukku" examines his unwavering search for the truth in the face of mounting obstacles.
