Thuruth is a Malayalam movie directed by Suresh Gopal. Features Kerala State Award winner Sudheesh and introduces Keerthi Sreejith in Thuruth as the lead character. The movie Thuruth (Island) is produced by Sajan Balan and Suresh Gopal under the banner of Yes Be Creative Production in association with Quilon Talkies. The story and screenplay for the film Thuruth are written by the director Suresh Gopal with the dialogues by Anil Mukhathala. Together with MG Sunilkumar, Shahjahan Tharavatil, KPAC Pushpa, Madhusudnan, Dr. Asif Shah, Zakir Hussain, Saji Sukumaran, Manish Kumar, Saji, Appu Muttara, Ashokan Shaktikulangara, and Prasanna, also appear in the film.

The Chief Associate Director of the film Thuruth is Saji Sukumaran and the Associate Director is Vyasan Sajeev.

"Thuruth" is a touching portrayal of a refugee family's search for a new home after being shunned by society and expelled. The film "Thuruth" comes with the tagline The Journey for a Shelter.

Razaq is compelled to take care of his friend's wife Usha and his son Appu after his best friend commits suicide. While coming from distinct religious backgrounds, both must overcome the resistance of their respective communities. The film's central conflict and complexity is on the family's continued exodus from their home hamlet in search of safety.

The lead role of Razak is played by Sudheesh. Usha is portrayed by Keerthy Sreejith, and Appu is performed by Master Abhimanyu.

Film Critics and JC Daniel Foundation Awards for Best Singer went to Aparna Rajeev and JC Daniel Foundation Award to Lal Kannan for BSest Cinematographer, Benoy Kollam for Best Makeup, and Master Abhimanyu for Child Actor Critics Award for Thuruth.

The first song from “Thuruth” is released on 26^th October 2022 through Manorama Music. “Thirathodum Theeram Mele” song penned by Biju Murali and composed by Rajeev ONV. Aparna Rajeev won the Best Playback Singer award at JC Daniel Foundation Awards and Kerala Film Critics Awards 2021 for this song.

Kerala audiences can see the movie Thuruth starting on March 31^st of 2023 in theaters, distributed by 72 Film Company Release.
