Kurunari is a Malayalam movie written and directed by Haris K Ismail. Features for the first time ever, popular actress Charmila plays an action role in "Kurunari" with Vishnu G Nath and Biji Biju as the hero and heroine. NM Badusha, Narayanankutty, Vanchiyoor Praveen Kumar, Alleppey Sudarsanan along with newcomers Sijo Sajjad, Deepti Manoj, Vishnu KC, Pradeep, Muhsin Bapu, Shibu Valavinal, Aju George Varghese, Azmin Sudhir, Ambili, and Chippi Thilakan. The movie Kurunari is produced by Vishnu G Nath under the banner of Sky Blue Pictures.

The cinematography is being handled by Lipin Narayanan. The associate director of the film is Dr. Sophia Tharakan The lyrics and melody are by Shifkat Rafi.

Charmila is making a bold personality-driven comeback with Kurunari, which contrasts with her usual style.  The location of the filming is Ponmana, close to Edappaly Kotta at Chavara.
