I am Kathalan is a Malayalam movie directed by Girish AD after the super hits of 2019 Thanneer Mathan Dinangal and 2022 Super Sharanya. Feature Naslen K Gafoor and Anishma Anilkumar in I am Kathalan as the lead characters. Dileesh Pothan, Lijo Mol, TG Ravi, Sajin Cherukayil, Vineeth Vasudevan, and Vineeth Viswam are also in the lead cast. The movie I am Kathalan is produced by Gokulam Gopalan under the banner of Sree Gokulam Movies and Dr. Paul's Entertainment of Paul Varghese and Krishnamoorthy after the films Poomaram, Ellam Sheriyakum, and Oh Meri Laila. The screenplay for the movie I am Kathalan is written by renowned actor Sajin Cherukayil.

Sharan Velayudhan handles the cinematography, and Akash Joseph Varghese does the editing. Rohith Chandrasekhar is the chief associate director, and Shibin Murukesh is the associate director. Tinu Thomas of Hit Makers Entertainments is the co-producer.

Girish AD-Naslen team-up 'I Am Kathalan' following the success of super hits Thanneer Mathan Dinangal, Super Sharanya, and blockbuster Premalu. Their film "Premalu," debuted in February of this year, was among the first Malayalam productions to break into the 100-crore club.

Synopsis

The protagonist is Vishnu, an engineering student who completed the course with numerous back papers. He is competent in the practical aspects of coding, yet he cannot pass tests. His indecision regarding his career caused him to lose his friendship with his classmate Shilpa, and at one point, it resulted in a circumstance where Vishnu was humiliated by Shilpa's father, Chacko. In I Am Kathalan, the audience witnesses Vishnu's choice to return it to Chacko from his position and the events that follow that retaliatory strategy.
