Shine Tom Chacko, who portrayed Bhasi Pillai in Kurup, received the best actor award at the film awards organized in the name of famous actor Kalabhavan Mani.
The award was given to Shine by the famous South Indian actor Guru Somasundaram at a ceremony held at Amma headquarters in Kochi on 30th June 2022. The movie Kurup was a huge success in theatres produced by Dulquer Salmaan under the banner of Wayfarer Films and M Star Entertainment.
