Vellarikkapattanam Malayalam movie directed by debutant Maneesh Kurup. Features Tony Sigimon Karethara, young actresses Janvi Byju and Gouri Gopika are the heroines with Biju Sopanam, MR Gopakumar, Kochu Preman, Jayakumar, Jayan Cherthala, Ajay Vishnu, Albert Alex, Tom Jacob, Adarsh Chittar, Deepu Navaikkulam, Kavita, Manju Punalur, Master Sooraj, Master Abhinand, and Master Abhinav as the lead characters. The movie Vellarikkapattanam is produced by Mohan K Kurup under the banner of Mangalasseril Movies. Former ministers KK Shailaja Teacher and VS Sunil Kumar are coming to the silver screen for the first time through the movie.

The 46^th Film Critics Special Jury Award went to Tony Sigimon, the hero of the popular film 'Vellarikkapattanam' for his impressive performance. Vellarikkapattanam, a film with an exemplary environmental message, also won the award for Best Environmental Film.

Tony Sigimon Karethara entered the cinema as a child actor in Malayalam's all-time superhit films Palunku, Madampi, Chotta Mumbai, Mayavi, Hello, and Bhramaram. In all these films, Tony was the most remarkable character. Director Blessy brings this young talent, who shined as a child star in the channel shows, to the big screen through Mammootty's Palunku. Later, he appeared as a child star in hit films. Tony graduated in engineering and is currently working in Infosys, Thiruvananthapuram.

Tony Sigimon was once a favorite child actor of Malayalees. The actor said that he was very happy to receive the award. Vellarikkapattanam is a film that gives a new direction to the new generation who are lazily passing their lives without interest in anything.
