Sheela is a Malayalam - Kannada bilingual movie scripted and directed by newcomer Balu Narayanan. Features South Indian actors Ragini Dwivedi and Riyaz Khan as the lead characters. The movie Sheela is produced by DM Pillai under the banner of Priya Lakshmi Media Pvt. Ltd with VC Lalan as co-producer. Mahesh, Kannada actors Avinash and Shobh Raj, Sunil Sukhada, Muhammad Eravattur, Sreepathi, Pradosh Mohan, Chitra Shenoy, Laya Simpson, Sneha Mathew, Babitha Basheer, Janaki Devi also star in this film.

The cinematography by Arun Koothaduth is edited by Kiran Das. The chief associate director is Sijo Joseph.

Sheela movie depicts the eventful moments faced by a girl named Sheela who arrives in Kerala from Bangalore in search of an answer to a big problem that is bothering her in a special situation. The movie is a survival-revenge thriller that shows the numerous unforeseen situations that Sheela, a young woman who travels to Kerala to find a solution to a major issue she encountered in Bangalore, must deal with. 'Sheela' is Ragini's Malayalam film after Kandahar, Face to Face and Puthumukhangal.

Filming started in Kuttikkanam on 10^th December 2021. Producer DM Pillai lit the Bhadradeepam at the pooja ceremony. Mattancherry SGST Assistant Commissioner Shajahan switched on the movie.

The official first-look poster of Sheela was launched by Shine Tom Chacko and Hannah Reji Koshy through their Facebook pages on 19^th June 2023.

Abey David and Aloshya Peter composed the music for the film "Sheela" for the lyrics of TPC Valayannur, George Paul, and Rose Sharon Bino. The dance of Sheela film is choreographed by Sreejith P Dazzlers.

Sheela movie was released in Malayalam and Kannada languages from July 28^th of 2023.
