Adithattu Malayalam thriller movie directed by Jijo Antony with a screenplay by Khais Millen. Features Shine Tom Chacko, Sunny Wayne, and Jaya Palan as the lead characters with Prashanth Alexander and Murugan Martin. Produced by Susan Joseph and Sin Treesa under the banner of Middle March Studios in association with Kanayil Films. Pappinu is the cinematographer, Noufal Abdullah is the editor, and the music is composed by Nezer Ahemed.

The fishing community is classified as Adithattu, which refers to the "lowest levels of society." Adithattu will also be a thriller that will investigate the difficulties and livelihood of the fishermen's community.

Director Jijo Antony's previous films are 2016 'Darvinte Parinamam', 2014 'Konthayum Poonoolum', and 2017 'Pokkiri Simon'.

Filming of the movie Adithattu, which was shot entirely in the middle of the sea, has been planned for 29^th July 2021.

The film 'Adithattu' is officially selected for the Miff-Canada2022 - Montreal Independent Film Festival, Canada.

Adithattu movie was released in theaters by Capital Studioz on July 1^st of 2022. India’s oceanic odyssey Adithattu begins streaming on Prime Video and Manorama Max on 15 November 2024.

Synopsis

The sea serves as the setting for the film. A six-person crew is set to head out to sea to gather fish, but because they lack strength, one member advises bringing Marcos, another fisherman, along. The crew's commander recently committed suicide. The fishing days grow incredibly stressful as everyone on the team struggles to deal with the loss of their leader. Adithattu movie observes all that transpired during that period.
