Vaikom Muhammad Basheer's Neelavelicham Malayalam movie in Thalassery
To mark the birthday of Musician MS Baburaj "Thamasamenthe Varuvan" song released in Neelavelicham
The movie 'Neelavelicham' is the remake of the 1964 classic 'Bhargavi Nilayam', written by Vaikom Mohammad Basheer and directed by Vincent Master starring Madhu, Prem Nazeer, Vijaya Nirmala, Adoor Bhasi, and Kuthiravattam Pappu.
Neelavelicham movie was announced on the occasion of the 113th birthday of Vaikom Muhammad Basheer on 21st January 2021. When the movie was announced the star cast was Prithviraj Sukumaran, Kunchacko Boban, and Soubin Shahir. "Neelavelicham" is a film by the Tovino-Aashiq team after Mayaanadhi, Virus, and Naaradan.
The shooting of the movie Neelavelicham has started shooting in Thalassery, Pinarayi. During the switch-on function of the film, MV Govindan Master, MV Jayarajan, KK Shailaja teacher, and KINFRA Regional Manager Murali Krishnan were also present along with the crew on 25th April 2022.
A new poster of the movie "Neelavelicham" has been released on the occasion of Kerala Piravi on 1st November 2022. Synopsis
A well-known author settles in this new town in 1961, when the novel is set. He gets to remain in Bhargavi Nilayam, a deserted house. The author learns from the locals that he is currently residing in the haunted home where a young girl named Bhargavi committed suicide after learning that her lover had cheated on her. Our protagonist chooses to do his own investigation since he is unable to accept the news at face value. Neelavelicham presents his hypotheses regarding what most likely transpired with Bhargavi.
