Aarkkariyamr is a Malayalam movie. Stars Biju Menon, Parvathy Thiruvothu, Sharafudheen, Saiju Kurup, and Arya Salim. Directed by Sanu John Varughese, the famous Indian cinematographer. Produced by Santhosh T Kuruvilla of Moonshot Entertainments and Aashiq Abu of OPM Dream Mill Cinemas. The script is written by Sanu John Varghese along with Rajesh Ravi and Arun Janardhanan. 'Android Kunjappan' director Ratheesh Balakrishnan is the production designer.

Sanu John Varghese becomes an independent cinematographer from the 2003 Bollywood film 'Main Madhuri Dixit Banna Chahti Hoon'. He is famous in cinematography for Hindi, Malayalam, Tamil, and Telugu films. The main works are Vishwaroopam, Thoongaa Vanam, Take Off, Android Kunjappan Ver 5.25, and Malik.

The teaser of the film was launched by Kamal Haasan and Fahad Fazil through social media handles on 22^nd January 2021. The movie is set in the Covid period.

Biju Menon for the first time acting like a 72-year-old typical Kottayam Achayan. He is also a retired teacher. Parvathi Thiruvoth plays Biju Menon's daughter and Sharafuddin as Parvati's husband.

Aarkkariyam movie distributing in theaters by OPM Cinemas on April 1^st of 2021. Digital streaming started on 19^th May 2021 on Neestream. Television premiere on 11^th June 2021, on Asianet.

Synopsis

Shirley and her better half Roy are living in Mumbai. Roy is confronting some major monetary difficulty. Amidst this, they chose to come to Kerala to visit Shirley's dad, Ittiavara (Chachan). Several days subsequent to showing up, Shirley discloses to her dad about the monetary issue, and he proposes the idea of selling the entire property. However, Chachan had a condition, and he shared that just with his child in-law Roy.
