Vellari Pattanam Malayalam movie is directed by Mahesh Vettiar. Features Manju Warrier and Soubin Shahir as the lead characters. Apart from Manju and Saubin, Salim Kumar, Suresh Krishna, Krishna Shankar, Shabareesh Varma, Abhirami Bhargavan, Kottayam Ramesh, Maala Parvathi, Veena Nair, and Pramod Velliyanad are the main actors. The screenplay is written by journalist Sarath Krishna and director Mahesh Vettiar. The movie Vellarikka Pattanam is produced under the banner of Full On Studio, after Action Hero Biju, Alamaara, Mohanlal, and The Kung Fu Master, and KR Mani is the executive producer. Sreejith B Nair is the chief associate director and Rajesh Kumar KG is the senior associate director of the film Vellari Pattanam.

The title name of the movie is changed from 'Vellarikka Pattanam' to 'Vellari Pattanam' due to another film directed by Maneesh Kurup was censored under the name ‘Vellarikkapattanam’.

The first look poster was released on 13^th September 2020 through social media pages. Filming of the movie Vellarikapatnam has started. The pooja was on 6^th November 2021 held at Mavelikara Palliyarakkavu Devi Temple, Vettiyar. Manju Warrier lit the lamp and MS Arun Kumar MLA performed the switch-on function. Abhirami Bhargavan gave the first clap for the movie.

The first look poster of the new title of the movie 'Vellaripattanam' has been released on 30^th April 2022. Megastar Mammootty has unveiled the first kook through his Facebook page. When Manju appears with the lamb on her chest, at first glance Saubin is reminiscent of a countryman in a mundu and shirt.

Sachin Shankor Mannath who works with AR Rahman pours music for the film Vellari Pattanam with lyrics by Madhu Vasudevan and Vinayak Sasikumar. The second song 'Arikeyonnu Kandoru' has been released on 16^th September 2022 sung by KS Harisankar and Nithya Mammen. It is also a beautiful love song that captures the hearts of the youth. After the song "Jeevamshamayi", Harisankar's magical voice conquers the hearts of lovers in the song, and from 'Vellari Pattanam' will rise to the ranks of the best melodies of the year with the voice of Nithya Mammen, who won the state award for 'Vathikkalu Vellaripravu'.

Vellaripattanam movie was in theatres by Fullon Studios on March 24^th of 2023.

Synopsis

The two siblings, Sunanda and Suresh, serve as the film's main protagonists. They both represent the same political party, the UDP. But because Sunanda belongs to the ward, Suresh is jealous of the influence she has. With elections just around the corner, Sunanda is working to hold onto her current seat while Suresh is concentrating on obtaining a seat to run for office. We witnessed the outcome of that conflict at Vellaripattanam.
