Randu is a Malayalam political satire movie. Vishnu Unnikrishnan and Tiny Tom in lead roles. Anna Reshma Rajan in the female lead role. The film also stars Irshad Ali, Sudhi Koppa, Kalabhavan Rahman, Mala Parvathy, Musthafa, Swaraj Gramika, Mareena Michael Kurisingal, Mamita Baiju, Sreelakshmi, Vishnu Govind, Rajesh Sharma, Ranjith Kankol, Babu Annur, Balaji Sharma, Gokulan, Subish Sudhi, Jayashankar, Binu Thrikkakara, Cobra Rajesh, Janardhanan, Hari Kasargod, Rajesh Madhavan, Rajesh Azhikode, and Preethi.

The movie Randu discusses the contemporary political issues of Kerala in depth and also gives some strong reminders of the changing social climate of the country.

Directed by Sujith Lal and written by Binulal Unni. After the hit film, 'Finals' Prajeev Sathyavarthan is producing under the banner Heavenly Movies and Tiny Tom is the executive producer. Music Director Bijibal composes music. Anishlal RS handles the cinematography and Manoj Kannoth is the Editor.

Actors Mammootty and Mohanlal announced the title poster. The shoot of the film started on December 19^th of 2020 in Kottayam. Megastar Mammootty announced the release date and the trailer have been released through the Facebook page on 3^rd November 2021.

The song of the movie Randu is composed by Bijibal with the lyrics by Rafeeq Ahmed and sung by KK Nishad.

Randu movie was released in theaters by Ananya Films on January 7^th of 2022. Earlier the movie was planned to release on December 10^th of 2021 and postponed. The movie will be digitally premiered on February 4^th, 2022 through Amazon Prime.

Synopsis

Shailendra Kumar, known as Vava, is an auto-rickshaw driver looking to find a honourable white-collar job. He is a secular man with friends from various political and religious backgrounds. The communal tension in that region was quite high, and at its peak, Vava was involved in an incident that effectively labelled him as a right-wing supporter.
Randu reflects the changes that occurred in Vava's life following that incident.
