The film's cinematography is its outstanding feature. Sameer's loneliness as well as the beauty and horror of the desert have been masterfully depicted by Roopesh Thikkoti. In every scene where it is impossible to convey the full extent of Sameer's suffering, Rupesh's camera saves the day. An extreme picture of Sameer strolling across the desert opens the movie. The audience is immediately drawn into the movie by Roopesh. Amir Pattambi is the Associate Director and Sanil Kumar Kottarathil is the creative contributor.
The motion picture 'Sameer' depends on the Novel 'Oru Thakkalikrishikkarante Swapnangal' written by the director Rasheed Parakkal himself a couple of years back. Sameer presents director Rasheed's personal experiences of exile. The movie follows Sameer, the main character, as he travels to a tomato farm in the Gulf and how he overcomes the challenges he encounters there. Sameer is portrayed by Anand Roshan. Naseema, Sameer's girlfriend, is also portrayed by Anagha Sajeev.
The movie Sameer is Anand Roshan's solo effort. The virtue and purity of Sameer's rustic existence have been exquisitely captured by Anand. The loneliness Sameer feels in the desert that spans for miles is another theme that Anand depicts throughout the narrative. Anand has handled the enormous duty with great care, notwithstanding the intensity in certain instances.
Actor Sunny Wayne released the first look poster on 18 May 2019 through his Facebook page. The second look poster was introduced by Director Nadhirshah through his Facebook page on 27 May 2019. The First Video song was released by Aju Varghese and Anu Sithara on 5 June 2019.
Sameer movie will be released in theaters by 72 Film Company on January 3, 2020.
