Minnal Murali Malayalam superhero movie is the third one from director Basil Joseph after Kunjiramayanam and Godha. Features Tovino Thomas and Guru Somasundaram playing the lead roles. The original story of 90's Minnal Murali is by Jaison. An ordinary man attains extraordinary power by lightning and becomes a superhero (Minnal Murali).

The movie started rolling on 23^rd December 2019. The film strikes in five languages - Minnal Murali in Malayalam and Tamil, Mr. Murali in Hindi, Merup Murali in Telugu, and Minchu Murali in Kannada. After 111 days of shooting, the movie shoot was completed on 25^th July 2021.

The demolition of one of the film's sets caused a great deal of controversy. The Bajrang Dal activists came and destroyed the set built on the model of a Christian church near the Aluva temple.

The lyrical video song of the movie has been released. The music for the song was composed by Sushin Shyam and Manu Manjit penned the lyrics. “Thee Minnal Thilangi Karrum Koolum” song sung by Martyan and Sushin Shyam.

Minnal Murali movie was a direct OTT release on December 24^th of 2021 only on Netflix. Minnal Murali world premiere show on 16^th December 2021 at Mumbai Film Festival. The film is earlier planned to release in theaters by Weekend Blockbusters. The world television premiere of the first Malayalam superhero movie "Minnal Murali" is coming out on 10^th April 2022 at 5:30 pm through Asianet.

Synopsis

The film Minnal Murali tells the story of a small village called Kurukkanmoola and the superhero who emerges there. With the hero and villain being struck by lightning on the same day, the story of the movie turns into a superhero, super villain level. The villain character is molded exactly like the protagonist. The screenplay focuses on the villain's love and his losses and annoyances when the hero's love is told. Here's the writing technique that connects the audience emotionally to the villain character.
Minnal Murali's story tells the story of a comic book that enjoys reading but does not lose its seriousness and emotionality.
