Synopsis

Lona, a sixth-grade student, was the son of a fisherman named Lazar. Because of Lona's battered chappal, he was often made fun of. Lazar's pursuit of this long-held desire turned into a frightening obsession when he was too inebriated to purchase a new chappal for Lona. The mental struggle between Lona and his chappal is depicted in the movie.
The movie's title, Papas, is a colloquial name for slippers in Malayalam.
