The legend of Odiyan, who in Kerala old stories are men having shapeshifting capacities, who could expect creature frame. Odiyans are said to have occupied the Malabar district of Kerala before the time of electricity.

Primary photography initiated on 25 August at Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. Alternate areas are Palakkad, Tazrak, Udumalaipettai, Pollachi, and Hyderabad. The 12 minutes in length climax took 25 days to get done filming. There were many activity successions that were finished by Mohanlal himself without utilizing anyone's body doubles.
The melodies included in the film are made by M Jayachandran while the verses are composed by Rafeeq Ahamed and Lakshmi Sreekumar.
