Mathruvandanam (2015)

Synopsis

Saraswati Ammal and her son Raju lives with Saraswati Ammal’s daughter in Mumbai. Raju, who was clever at his young age, becomes mentally challenged at a particular point in his life. Raju and his mother are expelled from the home and they reach the streets of Thrissur.

There they have a very struggling life, trying hard to make both ends meet. At times Raju turns violent and the people around can see the painful sight of his mother running after her son. Later she consoles him and makes him sleep on her lap. Saraswati Ammal is so sad about who will take care of his son after her death.
